We’ve been a little cheeky here at Explorer Paws HQ and made pancakes a couple days early! This is for your benefit however as NOW you can make the perfect pancakes for your pooches too!

To do this, all you need is:

  • Cup of flour
  • Cup of water
  • 1 egg
  • Toppings of your choice (I went for peanut butter and banana because this is not only delicious for Poppy, but delicious for me too! And Poppy loves them both)
I think someone wants the peanut butter…

Step 1: Whizz up all your ingredients in a bowl with an electric whisk or a hand whisk if you’re feeling wild. We use water rather than the conventional milk for dog pancakes as some dogs lack toast and tolerance (I know that’s incorrect, but it’s hilarious).

Step 2: Put a ladle full of your mixture into a hot pan and get frying.

Ladling tekkers.

Step 3: Flip pancake like a boss. If you do several flips give yourself extra points/pancakes (save some for your dog though).

BOOSH! Swear down this was a triple flip.

Step 4: Once nearly done put a spoonful of peanut butter on. Make sure it is safe for your dog as if it contains Xylitol this is toxic and will leave you with a very poorly pooch. Add a few bits of chopped up banana too and roll up your pancake.

Step 5: If you’re feeling like Hugh Fearnley Waggingtail or Michel Rouff Jr. then garnish with a little more banana.

Let me at the delicious pancake and stop taking photos human!

Step 6: Allow to cool and now for the best bit…EAT PANCAKES. Let your dog eat first as they’re clearly the most important being.

So there you have it! Not only are these really simple, but they are guaranteed to get your dog’s tail wagging! You may have to stop yourself drooling as much as the dog though! I hope you enjoy!

If you have any doggy recipes, then let me know! (I mean food for dogs, not that I want to eat a dog, if I did, I am really in the wrong place…)
